PM-300 Flat Die Wood Pellet Mill
The PM-300 operates on a flat die compression mechanism. Powered by a 22 kW heavy-duty electric motor, the main shaft drives the roller assembly to rotate over the stationary flat die. Raw materials are fed vertically into the pelletizing chamber, where intense mechanical pressure and friction heat (60°C–80°C) soften the natural lignin within the biomass. The softened material is continuously forced through the precision-machined die holes, forming dense, uniform cylindrical pellets without requiring any chemical additives.
Key Features & Advantages- Heavy-Duty Gearbox Transmission: Equipped with a high-torque reduction gearbox ensuring stable power transfer, quiet operation, and continuous 24/7 working capability.
- Durable Alloy Steel Die & Roller: Heat-treated alloy steel components provide high wear resistance and extended service life.
- Adjustable Pellet Length & Diameter: Easily adjust the cutting knife to control pellet length (10–40 mm). Die hole sizes are available in 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm.
- Compact Footprint & Low Energy Consumption: Delivers up to 300 kg/h output with optimal power efficiency, making it ideal for cost-conscious operators.
- Safe & Simple Operation: Features an integrated control panel, emergency stop button, and user-friendly lubrication points for hassle-free maintenance.

The PM-300 pellet mill can process a wide range of biomass materials, including:
- Wood sawdust, wood shavings, pine chips, and timber residues
- Crop straw, wheat stalks, corn stover, and cotton stalks
- Rice husks, peanut shells, sunflower seed hulls, and bagasse
- Alfalfa, grass, and agricultural waste for animal feed pellets
- Moisture Content: Best results are achieved at 12% – 18% moisture. Excessively wet material must be dried prior to processing.
- Particle Size: Raw material size should be less than 5 mm (smaller than the target pellet diameter).
Pellets produced by the PM-300 exhibit high density (1.1–1.3 g/cm³), smooth surface finish, and excellent durability, meeting European DIN/ENPlus standards for premium fuel pellets.
- Residential Heating: High-efficiency fuel for pellet stoves, fireplaces, and home boilers.
- Industrial Boilers: Clean replacement for coal in industrial heating systems and power plants.
- Animal Bedding & Feed: Absorbent bedding for horses and poultry, or high-density livestock feed pellets.
- Lubrication: Inject high-temperature lithium grease into roller bearings and main shaft every 8 hours of continuous operation.
- Die Cleaning: After each shift, run a mixture of sawdust and oil (10% oil) through the die to prevent holes from hardening upon cooling.
- Roller Clearance Adjustment: Maintain a gap of 0.1–0.3 mm between the roller and flat die for optimal pressure and wear balance.
- Flat Die: Average lifespan of 600–800 working hours (depending on raw material abrasiveness).
- Press Roller Outer Shell: Average lifespan of 500–700 working hours. Replicable separately to lower maintenance costs.
For residential stove fuel, 6mm pellets are standard. For industrial boilers, 8mm or 10mm pellets are recommended. For animal feed, 4mm or 6mm options are typically selected.
2. Does this machine require a binder to form pellets? No. When raw materials have the correct moisture (12-18%), natural lignin in the wood acts as a natural binder under high temperature and pressure.
3. Do you supply replacement spare parts?Yes. We keep flat dies, press rollers, main shafts, and bearings in stock for fast worldwide shipping to ensure minimal downtime for your factory.
4. What is the warranty policy? We provide a 12-month quality warranty for the main machine body and electric components (excluding wearing parts like dies and rollers).
